Botanical Description

Pseudomertensia echioides). Height 10-20cm, tufted. Leaves oblong to lanceolate, hairy. Stems upright, unbranched, with few leaves. Flowers tubular, in dense terminal clusters, deep blue, the lobes not spreading, with long protruding styles. Himalaya. This is one of the easiest species to grow in rich, well drained soil in sun or semi-shade.
