Botanical Description

perennial up to 30cm across, the rhizomatous stems bearing rosetted shoots. Leaves 2-7.5cm long including the stalks, obovate to spathulate, shallowly toothed. Flowers solitary or in small clusters, up to 1.2cm long, white, or rarely, blue with a yellow throat, summer. New Zealand and eastern Australia including south Australia and Tasmania, from lowland to upper montane in moist to wet habitats.
