Botanical Description

Probably half-hardy, mat-forming perennial 30-80cm across. Leaves of three to five obovate, 7-15mm long leaflets lightly covered with silky hairs. Flowers about 7mm long, rich yellow, sometimes red-tinted, in small umbels, summer. Nevada and California in sandy and gravelly soils, often in open pine forest at 1200-2500m.
