Taproot more or less thickened. Leaves bipinnate, the ultimate segments oblong to cuneate, lobed or toothed, often somewhat glaucous. Stems 10-20cm tall. Compound umbels 5-10cm across. Flowers white, yellow-white or bright yellow, summer. Oregon to British Columbia in open places and in open pine forest at 1200-1500m.
