Rosettes tufted and white-woolly. Leaves oblong-lanceolate to elliptic, 3-10cm long including a long petiole, pinnatisect, composed of fifteen to nineteen rounded-oblong lobes. Flowering stems 10-30cm high, always simple. Involucres top-shaped, 5-10 by 2-4 mm, enclosing up to one hundred vanilla-scented white florets with rays 5-10mm long. Falkland Islands and possibly the extreme tip of Fuegia, on windswept moorland. Colloquially known as the vanilla daisy.
