Leaves 10-15cm long, narrowly elliptic to obovate, entire or blunt toothed, more or less fleshy. Flower spikes 20-30cm tall, each flower about 8mm long, pale mauve, blue or white, mid to late summer. Pakistan to southeastern Tibet, on open slopes in damp ground at 3900-5600m. [Pl.236].
