Botanical Description

Potentilla santolinoides). Usually about 20-30cm tall but sometimes less or more. Leaves in crowded basal rosettes, 3-10cm long. Leaflets densely silvery silky hairy, very numerous, each one divided to the base into three to five oval segments 1-1.5mm long. Flowers white, to 5mm wide, in loose many flowered cymes, summer to early autumn. California, alpine fellfields and Pinus ponderosa forests, in gravelly soil.
