Botanical Description

Basal leaf solitary, bi- or triternate, the cuneate to obovate leaflets two to three lobed and glaucous beneath. Flowers 1.5cm across, white, sometimes pink or purple-flushed, solitary above the leaves, on a leafy stem 15-25cm in height. Cahfornia; coast ranges, and western Sierra Nevada, in shady places.
