Botanical Description

Approximately 10-15cm high. Leaves to 2.5cm wide, arching, almost fully mature at flowering time. Each bloom 5-6cm across, yellow, the falls with a frilled, beardlike crest surrounded by a few greeny-purple dots and veins, spring. Russian central Asia, in foothills usually in stony clay-type soils. Alpine house, but can be grown outside in sunny sheltered sites.
