Botanical Description

Recently described (1986) is a narrow endemic, found only on sandstone cliff terrace sites on Blue Moutain, Utah at c.2500m. Forms neat cushions to 15cm across, with dark green linear-oblanceolate leaves 10-12mm long, in congested rosettes. Flowerheads solitary, sessile, 20-25mm, yellow. Grows slowly, but well if given winter protection and guarded from slugs.
