Flowerheads solitary, on white, hairy stems usually about 5-10cm in height but sometimes exceeding twice this, lemon-yellow, red-striped in bud, about 2.5cm in diameter, summer to autumn. Most of Europe, in dryish, grassy places. Garden-worthy, but apt to be invasive. A variable plant in the wild.
