Botanical Description

with numerous densely tomentose, slender, decumbent to ascending stems. Leaves crowded, linear or rarely spathulate, revolute, 2-5mm long, white tomentose above and below. Flowerheads solitary at the stem tips, 8-15mm in diameter with spreading white bracts, summer. Corsica and Sardinia in rock crevices. Not easy to please, best in gritty soil in the alpine house.
