Botanical Description

Small clump-forming from a short rootstock, the erect to ascending stems 25-65cm tall. Leaves fairly dense, ovate to broadly lanceolate, 3-6cm long. Flowers broadly funnel-shaped, 4cm or more long, blue, usually with greenish lines and spots, the calyx lobes oblong lanceolate and prominent, summer to autumn. British Columbia to California, in moist grassland or bogs usually below 1300m.
