Botanical Description

Stems 5-12cm tall. Basal leaves usually two, linear lanceolate, as long as or longer than stems. Stems two to five, shorter, lanceolate, ciliate, with bulbils in the axils. Flowers one to five, in subumbellate clusters, yellow, 2-3.5cm across, the tepals broadly lanceolate. Southern France, Sicily, southern Italy, Turkey, Lebanon, in damp grassland and open forest up to 2000m.
