Botanical Description

Rounded resinous shrublet or small shrub 30-100cm high with many crowded, erect branches, only the upper parts leafy. Leaves alternate, glabrous, linear, obtuse, 5-7 by about 0.5mm Flowers numerous, white or yellowish, glandular-downy, 1.2-1.5cm long on short pedicels. Argentina from Patagonia to the high Atacama at 700-4000m according to latitude, on dry upland plains, rocky slopes and valleys.
