Slender subshrub with erect to ascending basal branches 5-25cm tall, almost glabrous throughout. Leaves and bracts yellowish-green, trifid with linear-lanceolate lobes having revolute margins. Flowers few in spikes, golden-yellow, 1.8-2cm across, at least partially downy on the exterior, summer in the wild. Chile, from the Cordillera de Chilian in grassy pasture, usually dryish, often in the lee of small shrubs at 2000-2200m.
