Botanical Description

A variable species from 5-40cm tall, which includes many different forms endemic to different habitats, chiefly steppe and desert, but including some true alpines which grow in limestone crevices. The most desirable forms are mat formers with yellow, white or pink tinged flowers in capitate heads on short stems. Leaves linear lanceolate, greyish, variable in length. Utah.
