Differs from E. andicola in its densely cushion-forming habit, 4-10cm tall and spathulate obtuse leaves (1.5-4cm X c.5mm). The bracts are exceptionally hairy. (It may come to be found inseparable from E. patagonicus.) Chile and the Argentine: Andean Patagonia at 800-1800m.
