Tellima racemosa). Clump to colony-forming, spreading by rhizomes but not invasive. Leaves mainly basal, more or less evergreen, rounded-cordate, thick textured, 3-5cm in diameter, long-stalked. Flowers about 5mm long formed of a large bright yellow-green bell-shaped calyx and five tiny white petals, in simple racemes about 15cm tall, summer. Montane to subalpine, in crevices and on open ridges.
