Botanical Description

Ground hugging mats can reach 45cm or more across. Leaves l-4cm long, elliptic to narrowly obovate with rounded lobe-like teeth, white downy beneath. Flowers nodding, yellow, 1.6-2.4cm across, more or less bell-shaped, summer. Canada and north-western U.S.A., in open, often moist habitats. Some forms have flowers which do not open properly, and D.d. 'Grandiflora' should always be obtained.
