Botanical Description

Cushion to mat-forming, the columnar rosettes crowded. Leaves bright green, small, oblong, bristly ciliate. Flowers pure white, 4-6mm across, in dense racemes 5-8cm in height. Mountains of northern and eastern Spain, usually amongst rocks in shady places. The clone that received an Award of Merit in 1981 is manifestly superior to any other currently grown.
