Forming a lax subshrub of farinose leaves, crowded at branch tips. Leaves 25-50mm long 7-13mm wide, flat with slightly revolute margins, coarsely dentate. Corolla yellow, limb 5-6mm broad, tube 14mm long. Discovered and introduced in 2002 from 1700m, Vallyabad, Fars Province, Iran. T4Z035, JLMS02-22. In 2018 this population was found to have declined seriously but a fresh, thriving polulation was found 25km away in the Darreh-ye-Bazar ravine near Faroogh, Z-MAIL14. Uncommon in cultivation, possibly due to its habit although a well grown specimen, given good light, can be an attractive foil for the cushion forming members of the genus.
