Tufted habit with ascending to erect leaves to 20cm or more in length. Leaf blades deciduous, narrowly triangular in outline, with slender, arching or drooping tips, bipinnate, the pinnae well spaced with few sori, and fleshy bulblets which drop off and form new plants. North America, scattered in mountains in shaded rocky places and steep banks.
