Only recently discovered and not in general cultivation. The leaves are broadly cordate, somewhat angled, toothed, 3.5-10.4cm long, deep greyish green above and with a well-marked silvery hastate pattern. Flowers appearing with the mature leaves, pale carmine-pink with a darker snout, the petal-lobes elliptic, twisted, 1.2-1.5cm long, lacking auricles, autumn. Fruit with a non-coiling pedicel. Northern Somalia, growing in rocky places, particularly on limestone cliffs, at 1250-1600m. The only species not in cultivation, except perhaps for two plants at the Uppsala Botanic Garden.
