Erect habit, 6-9cm tall. Quite distinct from all other species in its trifid leaves, divided to the base, which clothe the stems in pairs as false whorls. Otherwise it possesses the usual inflorescence, with two rounded 0.5 by 6mm yellow cordate mucronate sepals. Flowers 1.3cm long by 7mm across. Chilean Atacama, in desert matorral at 100-800m.
