Barr ex B. L. Burtt. Corm tunic membranous splitting into mainly parallel fibres. Leaves three to six, to 1.5mm wide, slightly glaucous. Flowers 6-8cm tall, orange-yellow, the styles divided into three orange branches, spring. Turkey, open slopes and sparse woodland, 1000-2000m. Apart from its corm tunic this species closely resembles C. chrysanthus even to the extent of having black basal lobes to the anthers in some individuals.
It is likely to interest only the specialist grower who will give it the glass protection which it needs for successful cultivation.
