Corm tunic membranous with some reticulated fibres at the apex. Leaves three to four produced long after the flowers. Flowers up to 8cm high, white with lilac veining or suffusion and a white throat, autumn. Western Iran, in meadows and beech woodland at 1500-2400m. Easy to grow in pots but has no significant features to make it horticulturally desirable.
