Corm tunic coarsely reticulate. Leaves grey-green. Flowers 6- 7cm tall, yellow with external brown stripes and feathering, late winter to spring. South-western in scrub and light woodland up to 1500m. Fairly strong growing species, especially cv. 'Minor'.
