Rootstock a cluster of small ovoid tubers. Stems 10-15cm tall. Leaves biternate, the ultimate lobes narrow and pale glaucous green. Flowers sky-blue, with somewhat down-curving spurs. Kashmir to southeastern Tibet, in open screes and amongst scrub at 3000-4500m. Group 1 and 2 in acid, well drained humusy soil.
