Botanical Description

Height 10-20cm Leaves two or three, 7-15cm long, obovate, hairy underneath. Flowers star-shaped, white, erect, 18-25mm, usually solitary. Fruit bright blue. Western North America, in mixed and coniferous mountain forests. This is not always free-flowering in cultivation, although it grows satisfactorily in a shady place.
