An annual to 20cm in height, lacking a basal rosette and branching above the base. Leaves to 1.5cm long, ovate to broadly lanceolate, the upper ones longer than the lower. Flowers to 1.2cm long, pink to pinkish-purple, rarely white. Europe, in open, damp, grassy places, commonest in coastal regions. The plant listed as C. meyeri appears to be a white-flowered variant of C. pulchellum.
