Clump to colony-forming with erect stems 20-40cm occasionally more, in height. Basal leaves rounded, toothed, long-stalked, withered at flowering time. Stem leaves ovate to lanceolate, bluntly serrate. Flowers nodding to semi-erect 1.6-2.2cm long, bell-shaped, purple-blue, in short loose racemes. South-western and central Alps, Jura, in mountain meadows.
