ex Loefl. An erect, glabrous or pubescent annual up to 30cm tall, much too sparingly branched. Leaves ovate to broadly lanceolate, entire or serrated. Flowers l-2cm across, having a funnel-shaped base and long, spreading lobes, blue. Spain and Portugal, in sandy soils. C.I. subsp. transtagana always has branched decumbent to ascending stems and is restricted to Portugal.
