Botanical Description

to 40cm or more in height. Basal leaves rosetted, narrowly oblong to lanceolate, dark green, coarsely toothed. Flowers pendent, thimble-shaped, with small recurved lobes 8mm long, pale blue, in large airy panicles. South-eastern U.S.A. in dry woods and on rocky slopes. A modestly elegant plant but too large for the average rock garden.
