Height 5-20cm. Basal leaf 20-40cm long, 5-15mm wide. Stem leaves one or two, narrow. Flowers pale lavender or white, often with a purple spot at the base of the sepals and petals which may be erect or spreading, the petals with only a few slender hairs or naked, the glands with broad, fringed membranes above. California, central Coast Ranges, on open hillsides. This species is closely allied to C. uniflorus but has smaller, more numerous flowers.
