Botanical Description

Height 15-50cm. Basal leaves long and broad. Stem erect and branching with sparse stem leaves. Flowers one to five, campanulate, erect, green variably marked and shaded with reddish-purple, especially towards the tips of the petals, usually with a dark transverse band above the glands, the petals very hairy and fringed, except for the glands which are slightly depressed and naked. This is a recently described species from the Tiburon peninsula just north of San Francisco. It has similarities to both the Cyclobothra and Eucalochortus sections.
