Height 10-30cm. Basal leaf 10-30cm long, 5-15mm wide. Flowers one to five in an umbel with two or more bracts, cup-shaped, yellowish-white with purple streaks, erect or spreading. Petals fringed, densely papillose, moderately bearded on the lower half with small, depressed glands with a dark fringed membrane. The dark colour of the gland is a unique feature in this section. North-eastern Washington, Alberta and Montana in open woodland on dry, rocky slopes.
