Botanical Description

Stems more or less erect to decumbent, hairy, 30-40cm in length. Leaves hairy, deeply palmate, divided into six or seven narrow lobes. Flowers in racemes, 3-4cm in diameter, usually satiny red-purple, but also violet or white. Missouri, Kansas and Texas, on plains and prairies.
