Eight annual and perennial species from Europe and Asia allied to Alyssum. They are mainly erect plants with simple leaves bearing star-shaped hairs, and racemes of small, four-petalled flowers.

Uses

The species described can be grown on the raised bed or rock garden but are not especially decorative. Ordinary well drained soil and a sunny site are required. Propagation by seed in spring.
