Botanical Description

Flard hummock-forming with linear pointed leaves 2mm long, rather thick having wavy hairs on the margins. Flowers insignificant, narrowly bell-shaped, 3-4mm long with two stamens only, these are exerted as is the style, all virtually hidden among the leaves. Flas grown well from a 1988 seed collection but is looser in habit than might be wished. Chile and Argentina in southern Patagonia, with a northern oudier in Neuquen.
