Prostrate habit, more or less mat-forming, eventually to 1m wide. Leaves narrowly ovate, crowded, 2-5mm long. Flowers 1.7-2.5cm in length, composed of a red, flask-shaped calyx and a cup-shaped corolla of the same colour, spring to summer. South-western West Australia on sand heaths. A striking plant with its bright, pomegranate-shaped flowers.
