A clump-forming, carrot-like, pubescent perennial 40-60cm in height. Leaves tri- to quintipinnate, the ultimate lobes up to 7mm long, linear. Flowers white, in five to fifteen rayed umbels. Southeastern Spain and eastern France to Yugoslavia, mainly in the mountains on rocky slopes. Used for flavouring liqueurs.
