Botanical Description

ex Jackson. Height 3-25cm Leaves biternate, leaflets two to three lobed, 0.5-1.5cm long. Flowers solitary, 2-5cm wide and 2-3cm long, spurs straight, generally 1cm or less. Sepals pale to deep blue, petals very dark purple. Kashmir in alpine screes and rocky slopes. A striking plant with its very dark purple petals. Requires scree conditions in sun or semi-shade.
