A neat shrubby species up to 25cm, usually less, with procumbent or upright stems. Leaves 12-30mm long, oblong to elliptical, upper leaves alternate, lower opposite. Flowers 25-35mm long, pale yellow with a yellow boss in the throat. Eastern Spain on calcareous rocks at 1000-2000m. One of the best species for the rock garden or alpine house.
