Douglasia nivalis, D. dentata, Androsace dieckeana). Loosely tufted mat-forming, to 25cm across or more. Leaves rosetted, linear-oblong, oblanceolate or spathulate, l-2cm long, grey stellate downy. Flowers pink to rose-purple or red, in umbels of two to ten subtended by bracts, spring. British Columbia to northeastern Washington State, from sagebrush slopes to alpine ridges and screes.
