Bulbs ovoid, eventually in small clusters or clumps. Stems 30cm or more in height. Leaves about the same length, narrowly linear, 3-4mm wide. Flowers shallowly cup-shaped, to 4mm long, lilac-pink to purple red, many in dense hemispherical umbels, late summer. Turkey, in juniper scrub, conifer forest and alpine pastures at 1300-2800m.
